About Me

my mommy tells me i'm a voluptuous person. and contrary to popular belief, this doesn't mean pleasantly plump. dictionary.com says voluptuous means "Giving, characterized by, or suggesting ample, unrestrained pleasure to the senses." i would have to agree with her evaluation. i am extremely sense-driven. i am big on textures and bright colors (unless i have to wear them). i don't believe anything until i see it with my own eyes... or at least described in a peer-reviewed article. my skepticism will piss you off, as it does many of my friends. i'm a big fan of the scientific method. mathematics is my religion. all other things are superstition. there are a few things that scare me- crustaceans, the dark, praying mantises, death. i'm a natural blonde, i'm vegan, i'm a smart ass (learned from the best- my wonderful father), i love star trek, playing computer games, and my life's dream is to be a cop. other then that, i'm just like everyone else you know..................................................i love psychology, my monsters, graveyards, winter coats, ERIC, staying up late, harry potter, physics books, blaspheming, goth music, crosses, hugs, board game night, sleeping on my couch in the middle of the day, being cold when i sleep, skipping class, gossiping, pondering the universe, wine, pretending to be a wine snob, laughing at almost everything, singing to pop music, grocery shopping, dancing, cooking, visiting my family, snuggling on the couch watching movies, going out to eat, bitching about almost everything.my current obsessions include but are not limited to: working, working, working, kinda wishing i was still in school.

classical yay: mozart, beethoven, chopin, dvorak....um i think that's it. Opera (mozart and others from the classical period). Gwar, Slayer, gregorian chant, nightwish, wumpscut, lacuna coil, otep, endo, delerium, lesiem, godhead, inkubus sukkubus, manson, NIN, die krupps, human waste project, arch enemy, razed in black, minsitry, orgy, VnV nation, icon of coil, rosetta stone, velvet acid christ, rasputina, my ruin, bauhaus, anything off cleopatra records, most things off projekt, OF COURSE my boyfriend's band Will To Live.

Movies:

I love horror movies (old and new, cheezy or not). Pirates of the Caribbean, Harry Potter, Ghost Busters, Indiana Jones, The Omen(s), Star Trek, Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Superman, Back to the Future. Anything exciting really.

Television:

The Science channel, Court tv, A&E, Bravo. My fav show is Cosmos by Carl Sagan, followed closely by Star trek, Forensic Files, American Justice, Project runway, and the Kathy Griffin Show.

Books:

i love me some theoretical physics books: Brian Greene's Fabric of the Cosmos, The Elegant Universe; Tom Siegfried Strange Matters; Neil DeGrasse Tyson's Origins; Stephen Hawking (anything), Einstein's Relativity: The Special and General Theory, Carl Sagan's Cosmos, Demon Haunted World; Dan Hooper's Dark Cosmos....Horror: Poppy Z. Brite (she rocks) my fav Lost Souls, Exquisite Corpse (readers beware), Wormwood; Neil Gaiman's Sandman (graphic novels); All Dan Brown, The Babylon Rising series, The Divine Comedy by Dante; Poetry and Essays by: Emily Dickinson, Virginia Woolf, Edna St. Vincent Millay, to name a few....Otherwise I just enjoy reading kid's books like Harry Potter, Eragon, The Bartimaeus Trilogy, etc.

Heroes:

my mom and dad, carl sagan.Judas and Jezebel rock my world. with all their: little love kisses, crawling into my shirt, psychotic nocturnal barking, drinking all my tea, knocking over my books, sleeping in the daytime, coming when i call their names like a dog, too smart to run on a hamster wheel, biting on my nipple, falling into the toilet, attacking my watch, biblically-named, big eyed, face-hugging, vegan awesomeness!!!
