As co-workers of the legendary, snobby Amsterdam-based record store Concerto long-time friendsZZZ and TTT met each other musically mid-2007 through the release of a mix cd by BorisDlugosch entitled Radio Disco . Intrigued by the shocking similarity in taste for electronic music, the two decidedto do a few mix sessions together.
TTT had, by that time, been dj-ing for about four years without getting any real exposure.Though he had become an unofficial resident dj of Club 8 's popular RobotRock party. ZZZ, meanwhile, had been fine-tuning his dj-technique in the privatesurroundings of his bedroom. After a few sessions the duo realized that the collaboration wasjust what their dj-sets needed and so they amazed friend and foe when they showed up atRobotRock's two year anniversary...together. That particular party would be the start of anamazingly rich collaboration and the beginning of HOMEWORK's history. Never again would the twobe seen without their signature dress code: white shirts and black ties.
Since then HOMEWORK has murdered dance floors all over Amsterdam with their enthusiastic styleand blogger banging electro tunes. Their taste embraces the entire electro spectrum, from EdBanger to Turbo and from BoysNoize to Kitsuné .
Both in form and in function HOMEWORK takes their inspiration from dj's like Tiga andSoulwax andfrom artists such as Justice and DaftPunk .
