"The third band of the evening was Birmingham based Metallers Pariah. Their sound is classic metal yet with a modern spin, making it accessible whilst still managing to sound cutting-edge. Influenced by the likes of Lamb of God and Unearth, it's a dark energetic sound that the band clearly enjoy pushing to its limits. These guys are also attracting some positive attention and have played a number of Record label showcases; they've clearly got the ability and it should be interesting to see if they are able to move up to the next level."
"The last band of the evening was Birmingham based four-piece Pariah. The band do Metal as it should be done, hard, aggressive and loud, it's a straight down the line sound that really works for the band. Heavy riffs, dark bass line, rapid-fire percussion and Jon's throaty roar all come together for an urgent and exciting noise that made the band standout against some very stiff competition. Within their well-thought out direction they have written some excellent material with suitably grand and dark lyrics and effective tempo shifts, and at Factory Bar delivered their set with the intensity and energy their sound deserves."
