About Me

Known for her eclectic mixes of Nu Jazz, Classic Hip-hop, Dub and African infused house DJ/Producer lynnee denise of WildSeed Music brings a new texture to the soundscape of Brooklyn, New York. Hailing from Los Angeles, California and getting her start as a DJ on the college radio station WFSK FM, lynnee denise is responsible for creating one of the hottest events in the San Francisco Bay Area, WildSeed Wednesdays. As founder and resident DJ, lynnee took listeners through weekly cinematic and musical excursions ranging from Women in Reggae, Black British Soul, Black American Jazzl, Afro-Pean Rock, Latin Funk and more. Upon leaving San Francisco in 2002, she moved to Atlanta, Georgia and experienced the opportunity to open for underground and nationally known artists such as Ursula Rucker, Joi, Saul Williams, MC Lyte, Eric Roberson, Martin Luther, ,Julie Dexter, Cody Chestnut, Malena Perez, Larry Heard (Mr. Fingers) and Donnie. She's appeared in URB, Curve and Essence Magazine and was awarded academic scholarships to complete both her undergraduate and graduate education at Fisk University and San Francisco State University. lynnee denise has appeared in San Francisco's 26 Mix, Club SIX, Butterfly, Circle Bar, Baobab and Cafe Dunord,. In Atlanta: Apache Cafe, Spelman College's Take Back the Music and the opening gala for the Annual Toni Cade Bambara Conference. Today she joins the Brooklyn (Bed Stuy) community and has, since her arrival to New York in June of 2005, appeared at The Knitting Factory (Ubiquita), Joe's Pub, The No Malice Palace, White Rabbit, Sutra and Sputnik. In May of 2006 dj lynnee denise joined forces with the UK-Based Amplified DJ's. This was a legendary evening at London's Mahogany as lynnee was the first woman to perform with the team.
