About Me

"Matt is not known for his most sensitive of approaches to people . . . " - Tee Morris, author of MOREVII'm a screenwriter, author of genre fiction and pretty much anything else you'll pay me to scribble, podcaster, professional wrestler , part time tough guy, weekend warrior, and 4:00 a.m. insomniac. I have a dom attitude and subbie tendencies, or so I'm told. I'm anti-social, which means I'm an introvert with more self-confidence. There's more, but it's third date kind of stuff.I'm also the two-time Parsec Award winning author of The Failed Cities Monologues , a groundbreaking work of serialized podcast fiction that'll fix your sci-fi, horror, and noir jones simultaneously. It's currently available from Podiobooks , where you can find close to a hundred free podcast novels. My short stories have been featured in the pages of such fine publications as Apex Science Fiction and Horror Digest and Tattered Souls , and on prominant podcasts like award-winning Variant Frequencies and award-nominated Pseudopod . I'm also the co-editor of Murky Depths , dark speculative fiction and comics from the fringe of the new weird.Last but not least . . . well, maybe least . . . probably least . . . visit my livejournal The Next Fix and tell a friend.

My Interests

The Space Program, junior crime solving, MMA, underground everything, dames to kill for, existential subtext, accumulating books, toys, DVDs, Superman banks, and arcane sexual devices of practical and historical value.

I'd like to meet:

Froods who really know where their towel is. Any member of the Suicide Girls.

Music:

When I say dance you best dance, motherfucker. Let's eat the night, let's drink the blood, make all your dreams come true, and hungry eyes are passing by on streets we call the zoo. Hold it between your legs, turn it up, turn it up. You carry on like a holy man pushing redemption. Hey there, there's such dandy wolves 'round the town tonight. There are angels in your angles. Boy, you best pray that I bleed real soon. How's that thought for you? I was torn out like pages from the book of existence. I must take her, I must make her while the dove domains, and feel the juice run as she flies, run my wings under her sighs. Surrender, surrender, but don't give yourself away. 'Cause laughing lovers can overcome their closest demons. Banana Banana Banana Terra-cotta Banana Terra-cotta Terra-cotta Pie!

Movies:

The holy trinity of Cronenberg, Lynch, and Gilliam. Christopher Walken is his own film genre. The Golden Age of Sci-Fi. Old school noir, new school noir, tech noir. Good horror movies. Bad horror movies. Chan-wook Park.

Cyclons, Time Lords, Reavers, our last best hope for peace, fuckin' Wu, Vinny Terranova, Titus Pullo, The Millennium Group, Faustian deals, cherry pie, MTV'S Oddities, Go Team Venture, Gareth Keenan Investigates, and to each generation was born a creature of light and a creature of darkness, I love it when a plan comes together, theorizing that one could time travel within his own lifetime, and, "...you'll never know...the wonders I've seen."
