The Bored Poet

Heaven help me for the way I am; Save me from these evil deeds before I get them done.

About Me

I'm a possibly genius, possibly retarded young poet/writer (Slacker) named Sanbud, though my SLAVE NAME is Sam and my pimp name is Manbud, with a dark, frazzled mind and a heart of fool's gold. I'm also a lot cooler and smarter than you (You know who you are!), despite thoughts to the otherwise.

My Interests

Writing poetry/novels/short stories, reading (Hardy, Sartre, Zola, Camus, Greene, Voltaire, Vonnegut, Kundera, I could go on for a while), playing as much basketball as possible, watching T.V. (Adult Swim, NBA, anime, etc.), messing with people, nihilism, communism (and all the other bullshit teens get into), hedonism (and directly related), getting wasted and totally stoned. Also, hanging out with friends and trying to avoid my friend's "driving" skills from sending me into the Pacific Ocean in a fireball of angst and bad weed. :)

I'd like to meet:

*Shrug* Various famous and historical figures, dead or alive...My dead ancestors, Xerxes the Great, Robert E. Lee, Hunter S. Thompson, Che, Vladimir Nabokov, Kurt Vonnegut, Mark Twain, and on and on, random figures I'd just like to party with. I could image getting stoned with Stalin and Napoleon. We'd all totally be getting wasted and dancing to retarded music and watch ultraviolent Japanese movies with Jesus. Go, retarded circus monkeys, go! on Transbuddha Heheh. And also a girl as insane as me.

Music:

All kinds really, I don't stupidly hate on different types of music. Here's some of my favorite artists:/Rap (I mostly listen to underground stuff, unlike you goddamn 50 Cent-loving, wanksta wiggers)/ Aesop Rock, Sage Francis, Ill Bill, Brother Ali, Immortal Technique, Jadakiss, DMX, Eminem, Dr. Dre, Deltron 3030, D12, D-Block, Dizzee Rascal, The Streets, The Game, The Fugees, Kanye West, MC Chris, Nas, MF Doom, Obie Trice, Outkast/Rock/U2, The Smashing Pumpkins, System of a Down, Gorillaz, Radiohead, R.E.M., The Pillows, The Police, Bob Dylan, The Pixies, Linkin Park, Counting Crows, The Red Hot Chili Peppers/Country/Johnny Cash

Movies:

I'm a huge movie buff. No, I'm not some idiot on the internet saying that, I AM fucking serious. I watch great films (mostly) every goddamn week...At least 12 a damn week, Blockbuster loves my family man...And I am the master of movies...Some of my favorites are...God, how the hell am I going to pick? I like Japanese films, like Akira Kurosawa's, I like Polanski, I like Fellini, I like a lot of different films and directors. Hell I've seen every Kurosawa film in existence, now I've shifted to Masaki Kobayashi. Seppuko=One of the best films I've ever seen...

Television:

Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Wonder Showzen, South Park, Tom Goes To Mayor, Boogiepop Phantom, Paranoia Agent, Excel Saga, FLCL, Cowboy Bebop, Samurai Champloo, Azumanga Daioh, Berserk, Samurai Deeper Kyo, Family Guy, The Andy Milonakis Show, Stankervision, Perfect Hair Forever, SNL, Crossballs, South Park, Scare Tactics, Reno 911, and anything the History Channel that isn't some fucking boring show about the history of bridges/cars/buildings/sex/pipes/etc.My favorite show? The brilliance that is Neon Genesis Evangelion:

Books:

I like many books, and I've read an ungodly amount (thanks to the local Newport Beach Library as a child)...So I can't really name favorites, just try to remember some of my choice authors...Milan Kundera, Kurt Vonnegut, Thomas Hardy, Graham Greene, Bret Easton Ellis, Irving Welsh, Hunter S. Thompson, Vladimir Nabokov, Ivan Turgenev, Emile Zola, and more...

Heroes:

Napoleon Bonaparte, Che Guevara, Dr. Mohammed Mossadegh, Salvador Allende, Vladimir Lenin, Shapur the Great, Cyrus the Great, William T. Sherman, Ivan Turgenev, Leon Trotsky, Hunter S. Thompson, FDR, Darius the Great, Hannibal of Carthage, Robert E. Lee, Maximilien Robespierre, Malcolm X, Emile Zola, and Juan Evo Morales Ayma. Also, Jesus was a pretty cool cat, his followers didn't end up as laid back and awesome. Also let's say...Johnny Cash.
