Local and national artists as well as music, movie, television or anything else reviewed. Feel free to chime in on your own and add your opinion. If your wondering if theres more to it, then here goes. I have received many questions, most of these are in the ballpark of who am I and "do I know you?" Here's some answers. I'm just a guy. This is a creative outlet. I am a fan of about any musical genre and I believe that your local bands, no matter where your from, are the basis of musical culture as we know it. These guys, and girls, spend their spare time practicing and perfecting their music so that they can get to the bar hours before you do to haul in all of their crap, set up, soundcheck, and get ready to entertain you. Then after a night of working their asses off, they get to stay at the bar for a few more hours and tear down and load up all of the crap again. This goes on millions of times. the pulse is also a forum for you, the fan of whatever your a fan of, to speak your mind. I am willing to listen and post whatever you want to say. "Do you know me?" Probably not. When I started this, I went at it like this. Start the site, invite local musicians to join the site. Then go through and begin to invite regular old people, just like you. I'm not here to sell you Macys gift cards. I'm not here to get a woman. I am here for entertainment purpose's only. So join the pulse if you want to hear about local and national music, read a humorous blog now and then, get a review of whatever, or just because you want that friend number to be as high as it can be. And next time your out catching a local band, buy them a drink, they have a long night ahead of them. -Matt..

In just a three-day sales window, Metallica's "Death Magnetic" (Warner Bros.) sold nearly half a million copies and tops The Billboard 200. The band's first studio album since 2003 moved 490,000 copies, according to Nielsen SoundScan. "Death Magnetic" hit shelves on Friday instead of last Tuesday in order to accommodate a worldwide release date. This total outdistances the opening sum of its last studio set, "St. Anger," which sold 418,000 copies in a similarly shorter-than-normal window. The last Metallica album to stage a larger opener than "Magnetic" was 1996's "Load," which rolled 680,000 units in its first frame.Metallica is the first group to see five of its albums bow at No. 1 on The Billboard 200. Previously, the act was tied with the Beatles, U2 and the Dave Matthews Band, with four each. It is also Metallica's fifth consecutive studio album to debut at No. 1 and its seventh release to start with more than 300,000 since 1991, when Nielsen SoundScan began tracking data.size="4">pYzam.com

THE RULES- I am in no way a greatly insightful person. Don't get me wrong, I'm not retarded either. So in my 37 years of life I have found a few rules to live by.1. Dont be an ass. Pretty self explanitory but I'll expound. This includes lying, cheating, stealing, being fake, etc. You know, overall assness. When your an ass, people don't like you. Don't ask me, "why doesn't anyone like me?" It's because your an ass.2. Raise your kids right. It's scientific fact that shitty people usually have shitty kids. Whitney Houston was right. Kids are the future. Someday you'll need them to take care of your ass.3. Appreciate what you have. If you did things right, as time went by you accumulated stuff. Enjoy it! You worked hard for it probably. Too much time is spent wishing you had other peoples stuff.4. Have good hygene. We've all had to stand too close to a stinky person with crap on their teeth. You don't want to be that guy. Bathing and brushing your teeth takes no time. So do me a favor and bathe, put on some deodorant and brush your damn teeth.5. Eat what you want responsibly. If you have McDonalds for 6 meals a week and sit on your ass the rest of the time, your gonna be fat! Don't blame McDonalds. Fad diets make me want to puke. People are just looking for a quick fix so they don't have to do anything. Don't eat as much and go for a walk. Maintenence is easier than losing.6. Surround yourself with people you like. Sounds easy enough, but for some reason, it doesn't always work out that way. This is hard for me because most people bug me. (Usually because they are stinky asses with rotten kids who don't appreciate what they have.)7. Get a job that you enjoy. Life is too short to be pissed at the world. Someone told me once that it's never too late to change directions in life. They were smart. As I age I find myself doing and saying the same things my parents did. They even told me I would. We've all done it. Time really does fly, and children speed that process up ten fold. Ferris Buehler told us to stop and look around because life passes you by pretty quick. He's smart as well. I am planning on dying a happy person. And if everything works out right, old too.
