Ewan McGregor in Malawi for UNICEF
New Orleans is a magical city. Our government isn't stepping up to the plate. If you can help, please do.
Aragorn (not Viggo Mortensen, but the version of Tolkien's fictional character he created), Randy Rhoads, Elizabeth I and Woody Allen. Huh... so that leaves me with a character from film, two dead people and only one actual living, breathing person.
And then a later addition occurred to me that I can't believe I left out of the original group - the brilliant Charlie Kaufman. Who wouldn't want to have at least one conversation with that kind of creative mind? Whew, another living person to the list.
The late, great Randy Rhoads.

Let’s get the obvious out of the way: The Fellowship of the Ring, The Two Towers, Return of the King and with very few exceptions everything Woody Allen has ever written and directed. That saves much time and writing. The Graduate, Cookie’s Fortune, Excalibur, MASH, In the Still of the Night, Good Will Hunting, Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner, Peter's Friends, Ocean's 11 (the Clooney/Pitt remake, it's more fun that Sinatra's original), The Green Mile, All the President's Men, Jaws, Animal House, Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil, The DaVinci Code, High Times at Ridgemont High, Star Wars (IV, VI and III being the best) The Queen, Bulworth, Wizards, Traffic, Pulp Fiction, Band of Brothers, Being John Malkovich, Almost Famous, Jackie Brown, A Knight’s Tale, Grosse Pointe Blank, The Mists of Avalon, The Song Remains The Same, King Arthur, Parenthood, Ghostbusters, The Godfather I and II, Taxi Driver, Driving Miss Daisy, American Dreamz, Michael Clayton, Being Julia, Barton Fink, That Thing You Do!, Quiz Show, Do The Right Thing, Déjà vu, The Skeleton Key, The Hurricane, Corrina, Corrina, Good Night, and Good Luck, The Banger Sisters, Forrest Gump, The Long Walk Home, The Player, Scrooge/A Christmas Carol (1951 version w/Alaistar Sim), O Brother Where Art Thou?, The Matador, Adaptation, Merlin, Valmont, Bridget Jones’s Diary (but not the sequel), I Love You to Death, Chaplin, The Green Mile, Big Fish, Anne of the Thousand Days, Howards End, Mary, Queen of Scots, Othello (the Laurence Fishburne version), Interview With the Vampire, Heathers, Reality Bites, 10 Things I Hate About You, The Count of Monte Cristo, Casablanca, Secondhand Lions, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Educating Rita, Deathtrap, Time Bandits, Angels In America, Sling Blade, Peter’s Friends, Le Divorce, This Is Spinal Tap, Saving Private Ryan, Misery, Gosford Park, The World According to Garp, Runaway Jury, Into the Night, Short Cuts, Avalon, Say Anything, Ordinary People, Klute, Dogma, The Sixth Sense, What the 'Bleep' Do We Know?, and Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.
Let's just say I have never once watched American Idol or Survivor. I do have some absolute musts to watch and those are Lost, The Tudors, The Riches, 30 Rock and Real Time With Bill Maher.
Anyone trying to rebuild New Orleans - since the U.S. government ain't doin' it. Apparently the task has fallen to an actor, a musician and a comedian.
