Mission Impossible

All the world's a stage...

About Me

funloving, educated, intelligent, sarcastic, slightly arrogant, sweet, cool, real- most of the time,Spontaneous, silly, multi-dimensional, a walking contradiction in terms, alcohologist ("It all blends perfectly, let the liquor tell it"- Thanks Dre), shoeholic... there's much more but you have to deserve that knowledge. Basically, to know me is to love me.One more thing... Family is first here (that's why my top 5 on here consists of my siblings).
"...My motto as i live and learn is Dig and be dug in Return" -L. Hughes
"You do what you love, and then fuck the rest..." -from "Little Miss Sunshine"
"The one thing I never could resist was temptation" -from "Crazy in Alabama""Every man is born truthful, and every man dies a liar"
"Crying is the refuge of ugly women. Pretty women go shopping"
"It Takes Practice and Skill to Live Without Regret"
- all three from "The Good Woman"

My Interests

Shopping, shopping, and more shopping! (That one was for my Cornerstone Crew). Seriously, though, I actually do enjoy a good dose of retail therapy- shoes, and fine perfume top the list. There's also traveling, good drinks, good food and good company. Oh, and I have an interest in the arts... verbal, visual and otherwise. And what's life without new challenges and experiences... they keep things exciting.

I'd like to meet:

Intelligent, progressive people. I also love hearing from people with whom I've lost touch. I have no interest in meeting myspace jump-offs, or whatever you're calling yourselves these days.

Good music transcends genre...

Breakfast at Tiffany's, Pretty Woman, Kill Bill (and most of QT's other work), Friday, The Mack, The Last Dragon, Scarface, Playing by Heart, Wide Awake, Austin Powers (the trilogy), Glory, Kung Fu Hustle, She Hate Me, Borat!, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Memento, Harold and Kumar go to White Castle, Half Baked, Run Lola Run, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, Across the Universe, Fight Club, Annie, Purple Rain, Glory, Tenacious D and so many more...

Television:

Gilmore Girls (they speak quickly enough to keep my attention), Boondocks, Good Times, The Jeffersons, Diff'rent Strokes, Facts of Life, Webster, Cosby Show, A Different World, Small Wonder, Rags to Riches, Californication, Two and a Half Men, Will & Grace, Dharma & Greg

Books:

anything by Zora Neale Hurston or Langston Hughes, most things by Shakespeare, Confessions of a Shopaholic, Bling, In the Drink, The 48 Laws of Power, the Secret, the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People... and the kid in me still loves "The People Could Fly" and Roald Dahl and Shel Silverstein books.

Heroes:

My parents, my grandmothers, Joan Rivers, Karen Walker, Dharma and anyone who's found a way to actually live in a world where most people seem to merely survive.
