There's innovators, n there's immitators...

About Me

ToolsForMySpace.comMany would call Bananaz a “go-getter”, an “over-achiever” or just plain “motivated”. He already has numerous completed musical projects (mixtapes include Minority Report, Streetz number one Draft Pick, and Best of both Burgz), and has had the experience of performing live at locally. While his interests go beyond music, he has a degree from Morgan State University, Bananaz has always had a good musical intuition and he feels it is in his veins. He has been heavily influenced by the greatest in hip-hop music, artists such as Jay-Z, 2Pac, the Notorious B.I.G., Jadakiss, Nas, and Scarface to name a few. Learning from these legends Bananaz states, “I want to have fun with it you know, that's just what I do, but people gotta know this is more than just music. This is evolution so I can’t just get up there like a lot of other cats and just say whatever, I have to make a statement, you know, tell'em how it is from my view point.” Having lived virtually everywhere between New York and Florida taught Bananaz a lot about life and the struggles young black men go through today. Lunch table jokes and little battles would serve as the catalyst to his aspiring career. He began to work with a group called Maja League in 1997, making his way from the bottom and learning all he could. In 2003 Maja League broke up and a few of the members including himself reuniting through Life Tyme Records. He is now at home with his fellow artists and working on his skills. Bananaz is currently working on the finishing touches of his first solo album project titled Bananaz Republic.
