About Me

____________________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________________ _____________________________________I am a graphic designer/crunqster from the DC area. I work for IdeaInteractiveMedia in Reston, VA. We offer print design and corporate identity for a broad range of clients, however we specialize in dynamic web applications which utilize flash technology. I am obsessed with Music, Art, and anything creative. I am completely opposed to fitting in, following the rules, or any sort of conservative/traditional way of life. I am a firm advocate of doing what feels right, feels good, or pisses off the main stream. I try my best to enjoy every day of my life like it is the last day I have on this planet, and even though I realize that planning for the future is necessary, I am much more concerned with making the most out of every experience, and doing my best to truly live in the moment. I am always down to meet new creative, forward thinking people that are passionate about their beliefs... I don't have to agree with you, as long as you stand up for what you believe in and don't judge me for our differences in opinion. I strongly believe that organized religion is ruining our world because it forces people to feel that there is only one way live their lives. I feel that people who think that their beliefs should be the same as everyone else's, and that anyone who disagrees is wrong, are selfish and insecure. There is no wrong or right - and once you accept that, life becomes much more enjoyable. (I'm right just deal with with it.... if you don't agree with me then I hate you, and you are going to burn in hell for eternity).................................................. oh yeah, i like to design cool stuff too....

My Interests

Anything related to the ART WORLD, especially DESIGN.MUSIC! (Drum 'n' Bass, House, 2-Step, UK Garage, Reggae, Underground Hip Hop, & anything outside of the mainstream CRAP you hear on the radio, and see on MTV)I love meeting new, interesting people. Particularly those who are confident with being themselves, and not worried about fitting in or conforming.Supporting the effort to promote GLOBAL PEACE.Discussing/arguing polotics & philosophy with anyone who might not share the same beliefs as me. I believe that there is always more than one solution to every problem. I think that anyone foolish enough to believe that there is only one way to accomplish something, needs to realize that their narrow-minded approach to life will eventually cause them to have serious problems!

I'd like to meet:

Music:

There isn't enough space or time for me to even begin describing my passion for Drum 'n' Bass.... for those of you who don't know what that is, do us both a favor and stay away from me! (hehehe) But seriously, D&B is the one constant positive influence that has been with me for over ten years now... and the beautiful thing is that it just keeps getting better. I am also a strong believer in balance...which can and should be present in all aspects of our lives. So I must be lucky that God made House music on the 8th day. I truly feel pity for anybody out there that has not found happiness through music, cuz you are missing out on life! If anyone out there has a soft-spot in their heart for some solid UK Garage/ 2 Step from 2001 - 2003, please be my friend!! In case you are curious, those were the two years that saw a beatiful collage of so many different genres of electronic music beautifully blended together to make some of the best tunes known to man. (Unfortunately, a scary monster named Main-Stream Hip-Hop killed 2-Step in early 2003.... you see that's when the majority of the producers & artists in this genre began feeling the overwhelming urge to mimick main-steam Hip-Hop in the States... which as we all know can quickly hide any talent that once lived inside of an artist) Before you get your panties in a bunch, I said MAIN-STREAM HIP-HOP, not REAL HIP-HOP! Much love goes out to MFDOOM, Murs, Wu-Tang, NWA, Mobb Deep, Ghetto Boyz, Cypress Hill, and anyone who at least tried to make good music before sellin' out like a BITCH! I really shouldn't begin to name artists & labels cuz then I will have to leave names out that deserve to be listed...but I do feel as though I should name a few so that you can grasp the sincere devotion that I have for music. Please understand that the following Labels and Artists are a microscopic tip of the ice-burg.... I would need at least 3 Gigs of space to create a list of all the music that makes me smile! ............................................................ ............................................................ .....D&B Labels/Artists -Hospital Records These guys are not mortals, they have transended the boundaries of this world, and dwell somewhere between Heaven & Earth. Anything from the likes of London Elektricity, High Contrast, Nu:Tone, Cyantific, Logistics, Laroque, and the entire Hospital Collective is guaranteed to make you piss your pants, and beg for more!-VALVE I just don't think I can name anyone in the industry that would have one single negative remark about Lemmon D or Dillinja...these pioneers of D&B continue to explore new avenues for their craft, and have surley blown more speakers and ear drums than the 1980's Massive Dancehall Soundsystems that they take much of their inspiration from. If you consider the word grimey to be a compliment, check these guys out.-Full Cycle The crew that put Bristol on the map as one of the forces to be reckoned with in the world of D&B... Founding member of Full Cycle and Godfather of countless Drum 'n' Bass Wiz Kids, Roni Size, has been makin' me smile ever since he helped give Jungle a new Jazzy Twist with "New Forms." If D&B had an Oracle, it would surley be Roni Size. His impact can be seen and heard all over the world, and his label-mates SUV, Krust, Die, Tali, and Dynamite MC are a testament to the sincerity of Roni Size's mission to push things further than ever before.-Ram I couldn't leave out the man who has been on top of his game for over a decade now could I? Andy C, AKA the Executioner, is arguably the best performance D&B DJ to have ever touched the decks.... Along with Red One & Shimon, Andy C has dominated the competition time after time, earning the rank of ..1 Drum 'n' Bass DJ year after year. You gotta see it to believe it, so I won't waste my time trying to explain further ............................................................ ............................................................ ....House Labels/Artists-Om These guys have done more for House music than anyone could have ever hoped for.... This San Francisco based label was founded in 1995, and has since pushed the concept of "Future Music" throughout the world. Their roster of artists is hard to fathom...including Marques Wyatt, Mark Farina, Andy Caldwell, Juan Atkins, Afro Mystic, Johnny Fiasco, Iz & Diz, John Howard, Kaskade, King Britt, Mark Grant, Soulstice, Landlslide, Ming & FS, and many more! Everything associated with Om has a unique sound, look, and feel.... from their world-famous parties at the Winter Music Conference in Miami, to their arsenal of stellar compilations (such as Mushroom Jazz, Om Lounge, San Fran. Sessions, & Deep Concentration) Om has found a way to spread great Underground music to people all over the world, without loosing sight of what's really important.-Naked Music Making people take their clothes off since 1998, Naked Music has been creating forward thinking Urban/Soul/Dance music from an extremely diverse roster of artists. Series Compilations like Nude Dimensions, Carte Blanche, and Lost on Arrival have gained respect from House-Heads all over the world. This positive, Love inspired label has an impressive roster, including.....Blue Six, Miguel Migs (Petalpusher), Lisa Shaw, Andy Caldwell, Marques Wyatt Maricio A., Kerri Chandler, Aquanote, Gaelle, Jay-J, Aya, and the list keeps on goin'. With branches on both east and west coasts, Naked Music has solidified there presence in the House music industry, and they won't be going anywhere for a while.-Deep (Where House Lives) ((The Party)) Had to give props to Marques once again! This legendary Sunday night gathering in Los Angeles at the Vanguard, has gained the reputation of being one of the best House parties in the world. Talent for this very special weekly event has included: Frankie Knuckles, Doc Martin, Miguel Migs, David Morales, King Britt, Ben Watt, Derrick Carter, Kerri Chandler, Joe Claussell, Mark Farina, Frankie Feliciano, Mark Grant, Harvey, Tony Humphries, Timmy Regisford, Ron Trent, Louie Vega, etc. etc. If you want me to continue I will! The beautiful thing about this party is that from its inception, the crowd at DEEP has been like a family, while the atmosphere is generated from that vibe. All who are part of the club are unified by a love of the music that transcends daily life and provides a weekly escape. This is why I love House music, because it makes you happy.... rather than making you want to kick someone's ass!LARGE MUSIC - Label to Watch Out for in 2006! Located in the vibrant city of Chicago, Large Music holds a place in history as one of the most influential and popular dance music labels in the world. Their mission is to celebrate the joy of modern urban living through rhythm and sound; they delight in exploring and combining a wide variety of musical genres such as House, Electro, Downtempo, Jazz, and even Salsa. This unique vision has given them a consistent history of widespread critical and commercial success throughout their 12 year run. Large's impressive roster of established artists such as Kerri Chandler, DJ Sneak, Miguel Migs, DJ Rasoul, Roy Davis Jr., Mark Grant and Derrick Carter have all contributed to the sound that is simply known by music lovers as LARGE. They have recently launched an aggressive campaign to enter the commercial CD market with 3 back to back releases entitled The Rhythm Lounge , Electro Jazz 1.0 , and Sound Deluxe. They seek the sophisticated music lover who has an appreciation for eclectic sounds and shares a positive outlook for the future of dance music. With a desire to maintain otheir underground credibility, Large is now poised to forge ahead in the global mainstream dance market culture. Baltimore favorite ADAM AUBURN has quickly established himself as "the" up and coming talent to keep an eye on...he is currently playing gigs and handling the booking for Large - with a bright future ahead of him Adam continues to impress the crowd with his eclectic style of House Music. ............................................................ ............................................................ ....I will have to add some more names to this list soon, but right now I need to get back to work.... Keep your eyes out for a Producer named Faze Audio. He has the skills to do things that you have never heard/seen before.... all he needs to do is quit his day job!I also love going out to parties in the DC area thrown by: OmniPresent Syndicate, CONTRAlab Collective, 88 Music, Bodyrock, Odds & Ends, Upfront Industries, 2TUFF, Ultraworld, Sonic Soul, 3Degrees Global, M3, ESL, and everyone else who focuses on providing solid tunes, a comfortable atmosphere, and most importantly forward-thinking/fun-loving people!
