About Me

Myspace Layouts and SO much more from WhateverLife.com! ?
whateverlife.comSo, folk been saying that I need to say more about myself. Here it is. I'm a singer/songwriter. (okay, you've seen me on late night re-runs too. Go ahead and google me) Yep, those life lyrics were penned by me. "The Housekeeper" came about while listening to friends of mine (male and female) discuss the terms of their respective divorces and such. "Late at Night" is a song I wrote near the end of my Texas days. It is just what you think. A mournful/hopeful wish for someone to love. "Man Jail" was fun to write also. A male friend of mine had been there several times, but didn't know what or where it was. He's educated now. (I know that's crazy) On my latest album, 'Blues for Sistah Dupree', I've written 7 of the 12 cuts. I usually write alone. However, I've collaborated on my children's album, 'Melody & Memory'. I love it when someone comes up to me after a show and says, "that's just how I feel/felt". I will endeavor always in my writings to let you know that 'you are not alone in this thing'. Hopefully, as you listen, you will laugh, cry, scream, plot, repent, and be encouraged to run on just one more day!Peace, Harmony, and a raised 9th,Ava
