HEARTS ON FIRE

there's a killer on the loose...

About Me

Hearts on Fire have been kicking around the biggest city in the world since January 2004, and in the span of a year have formed one of the freshest sounds in the New York underground. With a pedigree that stretches back to basement shows in New Brunswick, NJ, New York's best rock clubs (Crash Mansion, Lit, Trash Bar) to VFW shows in South Carolina, and stints in the short lived (but much loved, just ask indie legend Calvin Johnson) Perfect Gentlemen, Hearts on Fire have taken all they have learned and now craft some of the most energetic, powerful, well-written rock n roll around.Blending the best of such wide influences as Cheap Trick, The Stone Roses, and The Replacements, the Hearts boys realized what made these bands ROCK was their POP.Think Guided by voices releasing all their records on SST records. The urgency of punk rock. The groove of indie pop. The insightful lyrics conjured up by greats such as Elvis Costello, Ray Davies, Badfinger; it’s all there.Hearts on Fire are taking over. Gaining new friends and fans, rocking out, and injecting some passion into the lost art form of rock and roll. -----------Jayson Diamond (Badtown Productions). NYC. 2005
