Fresko was born in Spanish Harlem on June 20, 1985 at Mt. Sinai Hospital. Son of the legendary salsa singer Frankie Vazquez (Soneros del Barrio, Spanish Harlem Orchestra, Libre), Fresko was raised in an environment filled with music and culture.
In 1999 Fresko moved from NYC to Salinas, Puerto Rico. Fresko spent 4 years on the island and graduated from Stella Marquez High School in 2003. The summer of that same year Fresko returned to Spanish Harlem and dedicated himself to the Reggaeton movement. In the past two years Fresko has performed on both coasts at New Yorks famous El Flamingo Nightclub and in San Francisco. Fresko recently appeared as a guest artist on the Ricky Gonzalez album Oasis.
MEGA FM 97.9 has been playing the track La Paga in the coveted NYC marketplace as well as spins in L.A. and in clubs throughout Europe. Fresko most recently did a track with salsera Brenda K. Starr. This track is scheduled to be released in Spring of 2005.
As of March 2005 Fresko became an exclusive Libertad recording artist and is currently in production of his debut album.
