James 5:16 On Tuesday, October 2,2007 the family of Jaylan Lemond Vaughn began a journey trying to reach out to 10,000 faithful believers of Jesus Christ. Nine month old Jaylan was diagnosed with brain cancer on Monday, October 1st at children hospital in New Orleans, and the doctors felt that the tumor was inoperable. Jaylan's mother's name is Juanyka Jackson and his father is Lance Vaughn. Juanyka is a 21-year-old with two beautiful children; Jaylan being the younger of the two. On the morning of Tuesday, October 2nd at 3:30am Jaylan and his mother left for ST. Jude Children Reserach Hospital in Memphis Tennessee.The Tuesday of Jaylan departure, we opened a website at www.myspace.com/10000prayersforjaylen calling out to God's prayer warriors to cry out to God on his behalf; by Wednesday afternoon Jaylan had 100+ prayers going up on his behalf, and they were being heard. That same afternoon Jaylan's mother called to inform the family that after further testing the doctors at St. Jude felt that the tumor could be removed by removing his left eye. Than you Lord! However, they were still concerned about his right eye an more testing would be done the following day. But we believe God has already started the healing process. What the doctors dosen't know is that we are a family that believe in the power of prayer. They thought for two days that Jaylan had so much cancer on his brain that they couldn't operate, but they didn't realize that God had not yet confirmed. We know that until God says it, the devil is a liar.On Monday, October 8th Jaylan underwent surgery to remove his left eye and the tumor. The surgery went well and they are hopeful that the entier tumor was removed. Thank you Lord! We have not recieved the results of his surgical procedure, but we know God is able to do all things. Jaylan and his family are back home and awaiting the results of his surgery.we are asking everyone to cry out to God on Jaylan's behalf.
