A little bit (or a lot) about me... :)
I began singing in church when I was 6 years old and went on to be in musicals, choirs, and worship teams from elementary school into high school. However, from my last years of high school into my first years of college, God more or less put my singing opportunities on hold. He really took that time to transform my relationship with Him in awesome ways!
During the end of that time (Summer 2007), I began praying for God to open up an opportunity for me to start singing again and get back into music. He answered my prayers through American Soloist and also by allowing me to participate in CCMNI's 'Lyrics Only' contest (which was a great learning experience)! American Soloist was a local Christian singing contest hosted by Star99.1fm's Autumn Blaze festival. It was the first year they ever held this competition and I was blessed to have made it into the Semi-Finals! I even got to sing in the "NY/NJ Worship Leaders United" Choir at the 2007 Autumn Blaze show.
I now sing in the Worship Team and Choir at my church (Coastal Community Church) and am so grateful to be a part of these ministries. I've been able to be a soloist with our choir on songs like "Worthy is the Lamb" and "In Christ Alone" and have also performed Nichole Nordeman's "Finally Free", Avalon's version of "God is in Control", Point of Grace's "You are Good", and Natalie Grant's "Our Hope Endures" over the past several months as well. Getting to share songs that mean so much to me has been exciting!
I am truly passionate about Worship, Purity, Modesty, and Seeing others draw closer to the Lord through music. I'm willing to sing wherever God leads and for whoever will have me! God is SO great and blesses me so much even when I stumble. It is my hope to use music to share what He has done in my life.
