About Me

I think you have just about everything you need to know listed over there on the left. I am a liberal minded Aries; a stubborn, angry hippie. Tori Amos said it best: "I believe in peace, bitch." I am also an idealist and a conspiracy theorist, which means I hope for the best but know the truth. I have a strange addiction to the sound of John Malkovich's voice. I am a reformed nerd. (Actually nothing's changed. I just don't have the braces anymore.) I also have a serious weakness for boys who can kick it in eyeliner...and pastries.

I work at Radio1045 in Philadelphia, on air 3p-12. It's a great station where you can hear anything from Violent Femmes to Coldplay, Fatboy Slim to Rage Against The Machine. I have free coffee and a gold star on my door. I have paid more than my fair share of dues to get here, but I still consider myself lucky everyday.
"The music business is a cruel and shallow money trench, a long plastic hallway where thieves and pimps run free, and good men die like dogs. There's also a negative side." ~ Hunter S. Thompson
That's true as well, I guess I'm just a "glass half full" kind of person.

'How will you be defined in the dictionary?' at QuizGalaxy.com Which Tarot Card Are You?
You are the Devil card. The Devil is based on the figure Pan, Lord of the Dance. The earthy physicality of the devil breeds lust. The devil's call to return to primal instincts often creates conflict in a society in which many of these instincts must be kept under control. Challenges posed by our physical bodies can be overcome by strength in the mental, emotional, and spiritual realms. Pan is also a symbol of enjoyment and rules our material creativity. The devil knows physical pleasure and how to manipulate the physical world. Material creativity finds its output in such things as dance, pottery, gardening, and sex. The self-actualized person is able to accept the sensuality and usefulness of the devil's gifts while remaining in control of any darker urges. Music:

There is no possible way to rate this kind of talent. Different skills, different sounds, all of which I can appreciate. So in no particular order:
Jeff Buckley, (okay i lied, jeff is always top 5 material) Radiohead, Elliott Smith, Violent Femmes, Peter Gabriel, Muse, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Ben Folds (Five), Elvis, The Shins, The Crystal Method, Delirium, U2, The Who, 311, The Postal Service, Berlin, James Brown, NIN, Brian Blade, Guster, Michael Jackson (before he went nuts), Tori Amos, Snow Patrol, Smashing Pumpkins, Sigur Ros, Ours, Miles Davis, Silversun Pickups, The Goodies, A Perfect Circle/Tool, Counting Crows (first two discs), Foo Fighters, Depeche Mode, Gorillaz, Jem, Danny Elfman, The Black Crowes, My Chemical Romance, A-Ha, John Mayer, Biffy Clyro,Frank Sinatra, Rage Against The Machine, She Wants Revenge, REM, Gomez, Paul Oakenfold, Queens Of The Stone Age, Allman Brothers, Garbage, AFI, Johannes Brahms, The Police, Alanis Morrisette, Prince, Mastodon, Tears for Fears, The Used, Fiona Apple, Pearl Jam, Moby, Placebo, Live, Nikka Costa, Sisters of Mercy, 25th of May, Jimmy Eat World, Citizen Cope, Sinead O'Connor, Alice in Chains, anything lounge or retro New Wave

My Chemical Romance-"I Don't Love You" If I produced videos, they would look like this...

Movies:

What Dreams May Come, Go, The Fisher King, Pee Wee's Big Adventure, Empire Of The Sun, Garden State, Thelma and Louise , Edward Scissorhands, Grosse Point Blank, The Blues Brothers, Anchorman, Moulin Rouge, Ferris Beuller's Day Off, Singin' In The Rain (I smile through the whole thing), Pump Up The Volume, Elvis Stories, Beetlejuice, Anything from the Brat Pack/ John Hughes days, The Lord of the Rings Trilogy, High Fidelity, Farenheit 9/11, Xanadu, Contact, The Crow, and Titanic because it scares the hell out of me

Television:

90% of it blows but there are exceptions, and you'll notice most of them have been taken off the air...Arrested Development, Sex in the City, Scrubs, Heroes, That 70's Show, Will & Grace, The Office, 30 Rock, The State, Kids In The Hall, and anything on PBS

Books:

Let's go with authors: Henry Rollins, Jim Carroll, John Grisham, Chuck Klosterman, SARK, Jorie Askins
**Don't underestimate Michael J. Fox's "Lucky Man"**

Heroes:

Hero is a strong word. However, anyone who has the guts to to say or do what may be controversial or unpopular to defend what they believe in has my respect. (Unless, of course, they are some kind of overzealous Nazi) Who would I pay large sums of money to have dinner with? Henry Rollins, my late grandfather, Bill Clinton, Gloria Steinem, Christian Bale, Paul Hewson, Sean Demery, Jeph Howard (again..), Seth Green, Janeane Garofalo, Jeff Buckley, and Robin Williams...Colin Farrell for strictly offensive reasons.
