Music:

Pretty much everything bar horrible rap/hip hop (I refuse to use the term r'n'b :-{ ), modern jazz and traditional country. At heart I'm a rock chick. Favourite of the moment (been a fair few years of a 'moment' so far and I see no reason for a change!!) is AYNSLEY LISTER either with his fantabulous band or simply solo. I am also in the glorious position of being able to state with absolute sincerity that I truly love the music produced by my son's band STONE-FREE . Classic rock with a modern edge - they write their own stuff and it's mature, complex, interesting, EXCITING . . . to say nothing of the fact that they're all shit hot musicians! Their song Rise Up is definitely one of my all-time top 3 songs EVER. I hope their recent trip to London bears fruit because I'd really hate to lose their music and all that potential. Fave band of all time is the almighty WHITESNAKE . God that guy and everything he touches - magic!!TIP OF THE WEEK - One of the most disappointing band burnouts of recent years for me was the demise of the fabulous Ga*Ga*s. At least I had the pleasure of seeing them perform live once. From their ashes has risen the promising SLAVES TO GRAVITY , even tho they are pretty heavily Audioslave influenced to my ear. Quite pissed off to discover them too late to see the first tour tho, but never mind - I'm sure there'll be more. I've tried to find a good live video of Sex (!!) but I came across this one and I'm not sure whether it isn't even sexier done unplugged (again - !! LOL). Maybe I should be pasting the Slaves vid from their page - but I just love this song.The Ga*Ga*s - Sex

Saw Victoria Wood in Housewife, 49 last night. Fantastic piece of drama, I wonder if there's a book of Nella Last's diaries? If only there was a way to find out . . some way of being able to search a vast world wide resource . . . :-D
