"The more people you know, the further you go!!"

About Me

DJ SKY has been translating his musical interests and moods through the turntables since '93, proving to be a strong provider, promoter and representative of the Atlanta hiphop scene. From '94 to '99, he scratched live with instrumental/funk/acid-jazz band Sputnik(3 members of this band has since joined up with some other great talents to form the band Aerial2012 and can be found here on myspace at http://www.myspace.com/aerial2012 ). During his ride with Sputnik, he joined up with 3 MCs by the name of Mojo99, scratching with other rotating band members from '96 to late 2001(Mojo99 has since become Heavy Mojo with new and outstanding musicians and can also be found here on myspace at http://www.myspace.com/heavymojo ). Throughout these years, he has built a name for his solo career DJing in clubs, shows, radio and studio sessions with many different artists and groups. SKY can be heard on WRAS 88.5FM's "Hush, Hush" show every first Wednesday of every month from 8-10PM mixing and scratching the best in down-tempo, hiphop & trip-hop instrumentals where he's held residency since '99. SKY released his first solo single entitled, "Depths of My Soul" in early 2000 on a compilation from Elemental Magazine, "The Track Less Traveled". And in 2004, he released his second solo single entitled, "SKY vs. MS" for the 2nd Annual MS Benefit Compilation featuring many of ATL's greatest underground hiphop acts! This single expresses SKY's message to Multiple Sclerosis which he was diagnosed with in March of 2002, bluntly informing "MS" that it has quite a challenge ahead of it to have chosen SKY as it's host mind and body! To read a bit more about the blessings SKY has recieved from family and friends, check out this article written in Atlanta's Creative Loafing in '04: http://www.atlanta.creativeloafing.com/2004-05-27/earshot2.h tml DJ SKY proudly represents NodFactor2( http://www.myspace.com/nodfactor2 ), Second Sight Productions, TasteMaker DeeJays and DeadBeatRecordings.com out of Orlando. Through years of live shows, SKY has performed with a long list of artists and groups, but most proudly claims as his favorite, opening for his long time inspiration since day one, Japan's own DJ Krush. Starting in '93 as a great fan and a decade later opening up for him at Atlanta's Eleven50, this was a true sign to SKY that hard work, patience and passion truly does create rewarding progress! He makes very clear, that no amount of money can ever level up to the rewards of the compliments, fans and support that he has achieved through his career and love of DJing! SKY can be heard mixing everything from the best in 80s retro to the deepest in underground hiphop to any decade genre rockin' a wedding reception! He is even known to drop in reminiscent memories such as classic television theme songs to movie soundtracks and children's story book records! He prides on taking you on a head trip at any chance he's given! Stay tuned as SKY has many lifetime goals to achieve and share with the world, as well as consistent bookings in clubs and shows all around!..................................................... ............................................................ ..........................
