I was raised in a very musical family. My mother plays the piano and accordian and sings beautifully, my dad plays the guitar and harmonica, my brother plays the guitar and sings and my sister played the violin. Music was a huge part of my life growing up. My mom and I would spend hours at the piano. I didn't really start singing publicly till I was a junior in High School. I had a pretty good choir director and he really encouraged me to sing solo. I sang in a few competitions in high school and did fairly well. After high school I joined the Navy and have served for six years. That chapter in my life is coming to a close in November. During my time in the Navy I have been privileged to befriend some great musicians along the way. They have influenced me in many ways and I can't thank them enough. I have also had the opportunity to sing the national anthem at several ceremonies. I am currently working on writing enough songs to come out with my first CD. My love of country music really comes from my mother. She loved the old western music (Slim Whitman, Flatt and Scruggs, Tennessee Ernie Ford, and the list could go on.) Although I spent most of my life living inside the city limits my heart lies in the country and its lifestyle. I want my music to reflect that and I hope it does. I hope you all enjoy.
