Influences: people doing things from the heart, buddhism, Channel One recordings, Morehei Ueshiba, Lance Mountain, Jim Brown, 2001 a Space Odyssey, dollar LP bins at cool record stores, really good Indian food, laundromats, people who own tambourines, djs who play great music on the radio, the smell at bicycle shops, drinks with fresh ginger in them, any record that Jim Hall plays on, people who tinker with electronics, folks who are never catching up to their list of books to read and music to dig, honest mechanics, Salinger paperbacks, libraries, dancing to reggae music, vans and the people who love them, folks who attend shows for which they were handed a flyer, live music on the radio, gardens, sambuka phillies, biographies about brilliant, hard working, and often addiction plagued musicians, people who fix up junk guitars, sailing, true love, anyone who can make me laugh, the kitchen as the living room vibe, amateur law firms, everybody lifelong I've shared music with, Zulu Kangs, cassettes at garage sales, sudoku, people who, when asked how they're doing, don't respond with "I'm here," Wayne Shorter, Jacob Miller, really good lovers, Zig, holiday television that shows several crocodiles eating a zebra, Daisaku Ikeda, hits, Jameson, sincere teachers, people who don't cheat, merchants at farmers markets, Ellington, reasonable police, home recording, bus people, the perfect day for riding bikes.
