I live in the wonderful irie city of Austin where the sun is warm, the food is tasty, the people are friendly, and the music rocks! My day gig as a nurse at South Austin Hospital keeps me busy. However, my other gig as an entrepreneur/designer of my company Threads of Change keeps me over-the-top-crazy-full. Threads of Change is a multi-divisional company that creates custom-designed uniforms, sacred geometrically inspired t-shirts, and roots-reggae-rasta inspired clothes. I also have another fledgling company called Austin Nursing News , which is a fantastically super-charged resource guide for nurses around the Austin, Pflugerville, and Round Rock area.
Along with this busy schedule, I also have a super awesome daughter named, Kalaiah. She's my friend, sidekick, teacher, and love of my life. She inspires me to do great things and try to be the best role model, woman, and mother I can be.
I've also been playing reggae music through the vehicles of the keys, flute, and guitar for more than 10 years. I currently share a project with DJ-RJ called Vida Deluxe where we play original roots reggae music. I give thanks for the beauty, positivity, and joy that this music brings into my life. It's such a nice vibe! And I also have a wonderful bunch of brethren and sistren who uplift, enliven, and encourage me in the movement forward...always!
