Writing (primarily novels, in English), reading (also primarily novels, in English), spending time with family and friends, singing/acting, watching movies and television (TV series and quiz shows), listening to music, and when my economy and health permit it, I like to travel.
Dear friends, preferably those who live far away.
Just a heads-up if you're thinking of messaging me: Please don't use Netspeak (all lowercase letters, u and r, that kind of thing). Since English is not my native language I prefer communicating in as correct English as possible.
In addition, if we don't know each other from somewhere else, let me know why you contacted me (apart from telling me I'm pretty *g*). This also goes for friend requests. Thank you.
I'm quite eclectic (did I spell that right?) when it comes to music. I listen to several different styles but usually just a handful of artists in each music genre.
Some of the current favorites are Greg Johnson, 30 Seconds to Mars, Eddie Wheeler, Cryonic, Hoobastank, "Weird Al" Yankovic, Maroon 5, *NSYNC, Patrik Öhlund, Nocturnal Rites, and Tower of Stone.
I love movies, of many different kinds (when I last counted my DVDs, I had over 275 of them). The Lord of the Rings trilogy and the Harry Potter movies are never wrong, the same goes for movies with disability content. It doesn't matter how crappy those movies are, I still want to see them. Recommendations are welcome.
I follow quite a few TV series, like Supernatural, CSI (Las Vegas and New York), House, and NCIS.
There are also these "animal cops" shows on Animal Planet I just can't help watching from time to time. Extreme Makeover: Home Edition is another favorite.
I also enjoy quiz shows like Jeopardy! and Who Wants to be a Millionaire.
When it comes to cartoons, my favorites are The Simpsons, Family Guy and Rugrats - as long as the latter's not dubbed into Swedish.
My guilty pleasure is watching Touched by an Angel, but let that be our secret, okay? ;-þ
I prefer to read books in their original language. Well, English-language books, anyway. *grins* No real fan of translations, me (which is ironic since I translate books from time to time). I'm trying to read some original Swedish novels, and we'll see how that goes.
I currently enjoy reading the Dexter series by Jeff Lindsay, and other authors I read are Stephen King and JK Rowling.
People who fight for their rights, Renett Grové and other friends and family who keep finding ways to deal with whatever comes their way.
