I've been living in Canada since July 1998. I recently graduated w/ a BA in philosophy from York University . I love music and I'm a METALHEAD!!! Alex of Nephelium is a cousin of mine...WHAT'S UP, BRO?!!! Right now, I'm in a "garage" band w/ another cousin of mine and we're currently doing just covers. I handle all the vocals and I can do almost any vocals in the METAL genre. I play my classical guitar when I get time. I do wanna be a guitarist one day like Michael Angelo Batio, Jason Becker, Steve Vai, and many other guitar heroes. The types of music I love other than metal are listed on the left.
I'm a very friendly and an open-minded person, and I do expect others to be the same otherwise communication becomes very very difficult. I'm a free and a rational human being first, then everything else. So, I have every right to have my own beliefs and ideas that completely differ from the very religious beliefs I cherish. I strongly believe in individualism and self-empowerment. I don't support egoism, egotism, and egocentrism...and any idea supporting selfishness. I believe in free will, and that is a gift from God. If predestination and predeterminism are really true, then humans are unable to use their reason and intelligence, especially to change themselves from wickedness to humbleness. Hence, all living things are puppets, and God is the puppet master...which is absolutely absurd, illogical and irrational. Humans do have the ability to predict the future...but at the same time, it is God and humans themselves who can change everything that was predicted. Therefore, one's birth never determines one's future.
I strongly support ideas of progressivism and reformism. I'm against all kinds of exclusion, intolerance, ignorance, fanatism, dogmatism, fascism, collectivism, conformism, and other horrible abstract things. I totally support free speech. This doesn't necessarily mean that I'm a big fan of democracy. Democracy is flawed in theory and in practice as it has always been about the "tyranny of the majority"...which then gives rise to the "survival of the fittest". Let's not forget that Socrates was a victim of democracy. It's democracy that has the worst history and record when it comes to racial segregation and apartheid, imperialism, human rights, corruption, etc. Values like liberty and equality came to democracy much much later. Democracy is nothing but another word for capitalism. I'm a fan of sociocracy though. I also have some leanings toward libertarian socialism as a political philosophy, but not as a political ideology.
We human beings are sexual beings, and we all must be proud of our sexualities and not be ashamed of them. Sexuality is a gift from God and a part of nature, and I do believe that sexuality is a kind of spirituality. I hate the way today's society, po(o)p cult(ure), and the mainstream materializes and commercializes sexuality. I despise pedophilia, and pedophiles need to be cured immediately.
I'm a gender egalitarian. If you call yourself a FEMINIST or a MASCULIST, please don't waste your time here as I don't wanna be your friend because your ideas are not about equality, equal rights, etc...but about exclusion and gender bashing! Also, neither patriarchy nor matriarchy is acceptable. Both are equally awful! Both feminists and masculists are gender chauvenists of their own kind! Yes...so as a male, I strongly disapprove when a woman changes her last name after getting married, and vice versa. When a man and woman gets married, both must change their last names...PERIOD! And I do support all kinds of egalitarianism and equalism.
As a Canadian, I'm against multiculturalism as a state policy. I'm a strong advocate of interculturalism and cosmopolitanism. Also, as a Canadian, I'm for the abolition of monarchy, and it's about time Canada becomes a republic. If you're a Canadian and reading this...please don't give me that crap that we'll be just like the United States.
Recently, I've grown my interest toward martial arts, and I do mean Jeet Kune Do. Jeet Kune Do is a martial arts concept and philosophy founded by Bruce Lee, and I wish he was still alive to teach us JKD. I got a yellow belt in karate long time back and didn't continue after that. I also have an interest towards Mixed Martial Arts (MMA).
I've mentioned by religion and ethnicity as "other". My religion is Bahá'í Faith, and I'm fairly religious. I'm a 1st generation Bahá'í and I'm the only Bahá'í in my family and among my relatives. I'd also like to mention that my religious views and beliefs are not limited to the Bahá'í Faith. I have a lot of interest toward Paganism, Shamanism, and the occult. When it comes to religion, I'm very individualist and eclectic.
As far as my ethnicity is concerned, I'm a South Asian or a "brown" w/ Iranian, Arab, and Indian genes, ancestry and heritage. I also carry a bit of Turkish, Mongolian and Dravidian/African genes. I believe that I belong to the whole human race than to any exclusive ethnic group. Therefore, I'm a world citizen and a cosmopolitan...PERIOD! In the Words of His Holiness, Bahá'u'lláh: "It is...for him to pride himself...who loveth the whole world. The earth is but one country, and mankind its citizens." (Lawhu'l-Maqsúd).
Yes, you're right...the pentagram is THE symbol of the Bahá'í Faith (Lights of Guidance, #1375, p. 416). I guess I'm among the only Bahá'í metalheads on My Space...so if there's any metalheads out there who have questions about Bahá'í Faith, I'M THE GUY TO ASK!!!
This is THE ideal page for Bahá'ís, metalheads, and Baha'i metalheads to intermingle. The PENTAGRAM will unite both Bahá'ís who aren't metalheads, and metalheads who aren't Bahá'ís!!! The pentagram will also unite Baha'is and Pagans.
