About Me

I've always had trouble describing myself, besides the usual 'tall, skinny', etc. So I'll go for one word:"DYCHOTOMY"
I am in a committed relationship.
Musically, I listen to no particular genre, but really really love minor keys. I also really really love a grinding, chunky, and distorted riff. Electric guitar is my fave instrument. I like the cello a lot, too. And piano.
I never understood why people stick to one genre of music and define themselves that way, and look around for the "fasionable" way to be unique like everyone else. Mainly because they are good monkeys. Music is the language of the soul. If your soul is shallow and one-dimensional, it is very very small, and I feel sorry for you. You probably need religion to make you feel special.
So, if I were to name my top 5 favorite bands/composers in the world (of course, out of those that I have heard so far!) I would name:
Pink Floyd
Tori Amos
Nine Inch Nails
Slayer
Damien Youth
THESE ARE NOT IN ORDER! I cannot place any of them above or below another, so there you go.
So far, this is a music page. Hopefully I can get some real people here sooner or later but I'm a little TOO freaky for most people! BWA-HA-HA-HA-HA!!!

I'm dark & heavy, and yet light & romantic. I'm an O.G. (Original Gothic)! The Gothic movement came out of the Romantics, just darker and a bit more cynical. So, unlike the majority of the modern Goth movement (from what I've seen, anyway) I have no tats or piercings. I hate needles. Plus, I'm more of a whipped cream and feathers kind of guy! :D
I greatly dislike religion, but am very spiritual. I choose my own path and catmas (dogmas that may or may not be left at the pound when one takes them out for a walk)based on my extensive reading, wildly varying experiences, and questioning mind. And, hey, it also depends on what I just ate. :D

More to come.

Wow, I love this quote:
"What do we know...of the world and the universe about us?? We see things only as we are constructed to see them, and can gain no idea of their absolute nature. With five feeble senses, we pretend to comprehend the boundlessly complex cosmos. Yet other beings with a wider, stranger, or different range of senses might see and study whole worlds of matter, energy, and life which lie close at hand...Yet can never be detected with the senses we have. We live on a placid island of ignorance in the midst of black seas of infinity...
But some day the piecing together of dissociated knowledge will open up such terrifying vistas of reality, and of our frightful position therein, that we shall either go mad from the revelation, or flee from the deadly light into the peace and safety of a new dark age."
-H. P. Lovecraft
Ah, a little Bush, anyone?

You Are 74% Evil
You are very evil. And you're too evil to care.
Those who love you probably also fear you. A lot. How Evil Are You?

You scored as Satanism. Your beliefs most closely resemble those of Satanism! Before you scream, do a bit of research on it. To be a Satanist, you don't actually have to believe in Satan. Satanism generally focuses upon the spiritual advancement of the self, rather than upon submission to a deity or a set of moral codes. Do some research if you immediately think of the satanic cult stereotype. Your beliefs may also resemble those of earth-based religions such as paganism.

Which religion is the right one for you? (new version)
created with QuizFarm.com

You scored as Friedrich Nietzsche. Well you're an egotistical maniac, and you are so very iconoclastic that you probably are currently lost in a post-modern Jupiter, I mean jungle of self-definition.Don't let it get you down though, someday, through a willful onslaught of reinterpretation of dated forms and ideas, you will strike on something that passes as remotely new, and people WILL be into it on the basis of how hip it is alone. Also, the average espresso drinker looks up to you.

  • ...uuhh That's a couple from my library, anyway.

    Heroes:

Damien Youth. His music proves you don't have to make ears bleed to be dark & heavy. And you can be dark & heavy and still write beautiful romantic love songs. And you have to be who you are regardless if anyone else likes it or not. Favorite quote: from "Onanisms" - "I'm a very spiritual person and that's why I don't stand anywhere near religion." (Radio Spirit?)
Henry Rollins. He also said 'fuck you' to the world and refused to compromise what he is. He also says "this is me, if you don't like it, oh well!"

But while Henry steps on people's egos, which many people like, Damien steps on people's souls - which they don't particularily care for. But Damien should be famous, too. He has not been as fortunate as Henry. That is too bad. The world needs Damien's music. Turn off all the lights except for a single small tealight candle. Make sure plenty of shadows are dancing around your room. Play his music. You will see what I mean. It gets inside you, deep inside, and makes you think and feel your deepest darkest soul. And there you shall find whether you are in spiritual turmoil or peace. He is a Muse of Spirit.
A couple of his albums are free for download (mp3) on the net. They are: Candleroom and Festival of Death. Candleroom is one of my favorite albums of all time. I am the "kind gentleman from California" mentioned there. My favorite song on Candleroom is "13 - The Beggar" and my favorite on Festival is "7 - God of Violence". For you rockers, that one (and the next, "Sex Cult" are heavy rock from a project of Damien's called "Burnhead". Their album is unreleased.) "Sex Cult" is a tantric song, and a freakin' GREAT one at that!!
Robert Anton Wilson. The Master of all he surveys. Maybe.
    More to Come.
