INKARAKUA take their first steps at the beginning of 2000: the band’s members come from Cagliari (Sardinia, Italy) and from the outer city of the Island’s capital. The 5 guys are brought together by their joined passion for hardcore, modern thrash and the heaviest part of nu-metal/crossover.From the beginning, INKARAKUA focus their strength on the production of their own music and lyrics. In April 2000, after only six weeks of composition and rehearsal, the band had its live debut. Since then, INKARAKUA went on a long period of live performances all over Sardinia, using every opportunity to present audiences their savage sound. During this time, the composition of new songs continued in a small and damp garage in Cagliari. Musically, the band’s main purpose is the exploration of new sounds, experimenting with effects and percussions. The outcome is a very powerful crossover: lyrics are shouted (by the singer Chris) in Italian with no compromises with melodies, as the pure tradition of “Italian HC Style†wants. During the years, INKARAKUA’s sound has turned heavier and faster while atmospheres became darker and deeper. The original crossover dimension left the pass to noise influences, getting their music closer to metal-core. INKARAKUA’s lyrics talk about social issues, describing the decadent vision of humankind and of the society that men made up.In 2002 INKARAKUA released their first song on a cd-sampler titled “4 Tones†(prod. K-factor/Self). The CD was produced by Davide Catinari, recorded in Cagliari at the Live Studio and mixed in Turin at the CasaSonica Studios. The CD was also distributed as a sampler with the magazine “ROCKIT†all over Italy.During this period, the band changed one of its members, the guitarist Mauro Manca substituted Nicola Usai who had decided to follow a different music project.In Summer 2002 INKARAKUA signed a contract with Fabrizio Monni’s Label W.*UCK RECORDS, that produced the first album titled “La Giostra dell’Odioâ€. The CD was recorded at Live Studio in Cagliari in Summer 2002 and was distributed by VYNIL MAGIC3. Both audience and critics replied in a positive way to INKARAKUA’ sound.In Autumn 2002 Roberto “Konserva†(samples, scratches, sound effects), who already cooperate with the band during the sessions of “La Giostra dell’Odioâ€, become an official member of Inkarakua. He performed with the band until Autumn 2005.In Autumn 2003 INKARAKUA’ single “Altalene Deserte†was included in the compilation “Music Against Itself – Babylon Magazine Compilationâ€, while in Spring 2004 the song “Sangre†appeared in the compilation “Let the music do the Talking, vol.1â€.During 2003/2004 the band, with the support of the label, organized some promotional mini-tours to promote the new CD. They had shows in Rome, Turin, Milan and other cities in Italy. For some years INKARAKUA continued to perform live all over Sardinia, dedicating less time to the production of new songs. The creative process for the new album was hard and long. The band focused its attention on the search of its proper sound and its personal approach to metal-core; it was a development that has changed the original crossover sounds of the previous album into a metal-core/noise temperament with an heavier and faster groove.Finally in Autumn 2006 INKARAKUA terminated the elaboration of all tracks that will be contained in the second album – INKARAKUA (s/t). Produced with Carlo Bellotti (GF93), mixed by Riccardo “Paso†Pasini (Slow Motion Apocalypse, Ephel Duat, Reprisal, The Secret), the album will be released by UK-Division and distributed by Plastic Head.INKARAKUA’s HC attitude comes out mostly during live performances, where the 5 guys bring out their fury, their strengths and all the energies until the last sweat drop! During 7 years INKARAKUA have played over 100 gigs and participated in some important events, sharing the stage with important band such as: Ratos De Porao, Walls of Jericho, Dog Eat Dog, Linea 77, Earthtone9, Born From Pain, Extrema, GF93, Concrete Block and many others.
