About Me

CRUISING IN THE VAN PRODUCTIONS is a film production company based out of Stoneham, Massachusetts and New York City, NY that’s mission is to make high quality motion pictures using cost-effective measures. Conceived in 2000, CITV has its roots in student film, but has recently expanded outward into more professional productions.Co-founders ERIC GREEN and MATTHEW NERNEY grew up in picturesque Bedford and became fast friends in their high school years. Upon graduation, their film journey began working together on several diverse film and television projects. Creating a film production company was an idea they had from that point on.They split up when it came time to choose a college. Matthew went to Westfield State College, and Eric studied at Fitchburg State College. Then in the summer of 2000, when Matthew graduated from WSC, they joined forces to create CRUISING IN THE VAN PRODUCTIONS.The inaugural production was TO BE JOHN WOO written and directed by Eric. The short was put together for a relatively low-budget, the cast was made up of SAG and non-union talent. The 16mm short film, which was completed in the Fall of 2001, has had a successful run on the film festival circuit (a big hit at festivals in Massachusetts, California, New Hampshire, Florida, and Texas, as well as Canada and Australia). In 2004, CITV completed their newest short film MUSICIAN FOR HIRE, their first New York City shoot. Shot on DV and in a very short amount of time, MFH tells the story of Joe, a struggling rock musician. The award-winning film has already been a hit on the film festival circuit (in Texas, California, New York, New Hampshire, Florida, Wisconsin, South Carolina, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington state, Minnesota, and even CANADA!).CITV is currently in pre-production on LIFE ON THE V: THE STORY OF V66 (www.lifeonthev.com and www.myspace.com/v66documentary), a co-production with Breaking Branches Pictures. The next step for CITV will be a feature-length film that is currently in development, a music video, a concert collaboration and some surprises!I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4
