About Me

Blue Lotus Tribe is one of Chicagoland's and the Midwest's best love tribal bellydance troupes! Specializing in both improvisation and tribal fusion, all dancers of Blue Lotus Tribe have a background in classical Egyptian style bellydance. Because of this, our tribal style has its own unique flavor that one can only call Egypto-Tribal Fusion. Check out our calendar and blog for updates on performances, classes, and workshops!!

Our favorite artists to work with are Raquy and the Cavemen, Turku, Djinn, Kevin "The Black Drum" Hartnell, and many many more!!

Movies:

The Muppet Movie and Bring it On have long been tribe favorites.

Television:

We dance too much to watch all that TV.

Heroes:

We have several dance heroes. Our primary Egyptian instructor, Jasmin Jahal is one. The fabulous technique of Rachel Brice makes her another. Carolena Nericcio, for creating ATS bellydance is an inspiration. The families and friends who support our endeavors, and YOU, our students and fans who keep us going all the time! We'd not be performers without an audience!!
