Anjum Bellydance

Each of us came from different backgrounds and began dancing together in, what was the first Tribal Fusion Bellydance troupe in Milwaukee, Technotrance Bellydance. After the director of Technotrance left for Georgia, we decided to continue under a different name. From there we began teaching classes and performing as Anjum.Our format consists of improvisation and individual move combinations to create a style which is both fluid and complex. Since we are an improv troupe with a very large vocabulary of moves, we have been able to dance on the spot to live drummers, traditional middle eastern music, hip-hop djs, electronic djs, metal bands and even jazz musicians.
