Hippie Chick is a regular working class woman that has to hide her true identity for this song because of the stupid laws we have about Marijuana these days. She has written MANY songs of her own & plays Guitar, but this song is special. She has to keep her day job which pays the bills, & if they knew about this song she would be fired!She just wanted to find some way for this song to be heard that she wrote because of the true meaning behind it. You must listen to the words to get what it states.Many people smoke pot in this country & don't want to admit it for fear of losing their job, or being judged by close minded people who think it's the "Evil" drug when Beer is WAY fucking worse!!! Oh it makes me so mad! Many honest, hard working Americans come home after a long day & light it up to calm down. People you would never think smoke Pot to relax. CEO's, Managers, Presidents, & Blue Collar workers alike light up, but have to keep it secret.I'm sick of all the excuses the Government has given on why we can't smoke Pot! It's NOT a GATEWAY DRUG! I've smoked for 13 years & that's all I want! No Crack, or Heroine, or X, or anything else. Just good ole Natural Grown Pot!It DOES NOT make you Dumb & take over your life. I am just as smart as I always was, & pay all my bills on time! It's not my priority, I know what comes first. I go to work & when I come home I smoke. I don't do it before or during & that should be my right. If I have money to get Pot then I get it. If I don't then I deal with it. I don't go insane, or have a relapse, or sell my things to get it. I just wait until next week when I have more money. ~lol~It does NOT make you angry & want to do crime or be violent! In fact it's the exact opposite of that! People that believe any of these myths obviously have never tried it. It does not harm myself or anyone else around me.How is that different from folks that come home & crack open a Beer? Way different! At least I can still walk straight & talk right after smoking Pot, & I can't say the same if I'm drunk. Anyway, the laws NEED to change! Too many good, honest, hard working people are being punished for something that they should have the right to chose if they want to do it or not in the comfort of their own home.
