Of course, everything I do is unofficial, but I now have a fog machine player, known as "The Eclipse," he is the strongest man in Chicago... that's a fact, motherfucker. Other than that, I'm looking for professional girls to dance well in little clothing. Send applications here, I promise not to fondle you... The Eclipse won't either... in fact, we'll protect you from hooligans.
Influences:
Joaquin Andujar (above), Jose Oquendo, "Spaceman" Bill Lee, Dock Ellis, anyone named Dick Johnson, poor people, poor judgement, Lexington Pride, 309, loss, drunkeness, pain, sexual desire, drugs, the Satan and his children... stuff like that. I like to write songs about shitty things and make them laughable. I'm a rock & roll therapist.
As for other artists that have played some role in putting me where I am...
My mother and father, The Mothers of Invention (Frank Zappa), Butthole Surfers, Ol' Dirty Bastard, Radio Birdman, Rudy Ray Moore, Richard Pryor, John Lee Hooker, Coldcock Jones, Black Sabbath, Black Flag, black people, GG Allin, Ted Nugent, Otis Redding, Jerry Reed, Roger Miller, The Jefferson's theme song, MC5, Stooges, Daniel Johnston, Waylon Jennings and "outlaw country," black people blues (no horns and bullshit showbiz garbage), loud unadulterated rock & roll, and the song, "Take This Job and Shove It."
My favorite beers are Pabst Blue Ribbon, Stag, Schlitz, and because it's Cardinal beer, Budweiser and Busch. I will NOT drink Old Style out of a "Cubbie can."
Sounds Like: My sounds have changed a lot over the years because that's how I am. I'm always looking to do something different than last time. If you were to buy my Scumthology (hint), you'd find a wide range of strange stuff that doesn't really sound a whole lot like what's on this page. Right now I'm trying to combine the heavy aural lust of Black Sabbath, with the danceable beats of DJ beats and samples from instructional records and the high energy vocals of someone like James Brown. I like to dance and force people to dance, too. My live shows are not like those of most rock and roll bands... even if I do show up with a band. The more I get from an audience, the more I get out of the experience, so like a drill instructor, I'll let you have it if you're slacking. I've been likened to Andy Kaufman, Beck, Daniel Johnston and "Spaceman" Bill Lee. Not my words... I'm just telling you what people told me. I've also been told that I'm the nicest employee at the pawn shop and that I pace and fidget very much.
