DJ Minxx, formerly known as Dj Catharsis (Kuh-thahr-suhs), originally from Baton Rouge, La., got her start under the tutelage of DJ Instafunk who nurtured her blossoming interest in turntabilism and introduced her to the world of Djing. After getting a taste (and quickly thereafter an addiction) to spinning, DJ Minxx landed her first gig opening up for JES and Klubjumpers on XM Satelitte radio at Club Metropolis in San Antonio,TX.(now Club Rio). After working briefly under the skills of Dan Mathews of Klubjumpers, DJ Minxx soon landed a guest DJ spot at KLUB ATOMIX in San Antonio, spinning house, trance and tribal. She then continued training under DJ SHOCK of Atomix who introduced her to the technical side of spinning as well as the creative. Currently, DJ Minxx also works with Just Don't Stop productions spinning harder sounds at various gigs in San Antonio. These events include the First Friday block party at the Blue Star Arts Complex and at International Bar Salute. Look for DJ Minx to headline several upcoming events sponsored by JDS.Upcoming Events:
