Ska-bà

Selector de Benimaclet, Valencia y miembro fundador de Bredda Jamaican Music Club. Colectivo que lleva trayendo los sonidos jamaiquinos a la ciudad de Valencia desde 1999 con fiestas y conciertos; Toasters, Slackers, Stubborn All stars, NYSJE, Dave Barker, Begoña Bang Matu, Thorpe Brass... Empezó a coleccionar vinilos desde temprana edad. Empezó pinchando en el Glop, mítico pub del barrio de Benimaclet; punk-rock, ska revival, psychobilly, garage y algo de ska y reggae original..en las denominadas Punky Reggae Parties durante 8 años. Buscando las raices se aficionó más y más por los sonidos originales incluyendo en sus sets más y más sonidos de los 60, investigando también en la música contemporanea de otras latitudes como el Soul, Rhythm'n'Blues, Bogaloo, Surf, R'n'R... Así ha pinchado en casi todos los garitos de Valencia, tambien ha llegado a Castellón, Tarragona y Londres. Sus locales favoritos actualmente son Kraken, Swan y Dub Club. Su momento inolvidable fué cuando el mismísimo Dave Barker cantó sobre una de sus selecciones.

Saul Ska-bà, Selector from Valencia, Spain and member and founder of Bredda, Jamaican Music Club, which has been bringing the Jamaican sounds to Valencia City since 1999; Toasters, Slackers, Stubborn All stars, NYSJE, Dave Barker, Begoña Bang Matu, Thorpe Brass... He started buying vynils since an early age. He started deejaying many years later at The Glop, well-known pub in Valencia, punk-rock, two-tone and revival ska, garage, psychobilly and some original ska and reggae in the sessions known as Punky Reggae Parties during 8 years. Looking for the roots he started digging more and more the original sounds looking into other 50's and 60's sounds such as Blues, Soul, Rhythm'n'Blues, Bogaloo, Surf, R'n'R... He has selected music in all the cool clubs and pubs in Valencia, having also been in Castellón, Tarragona and Brixton, London. Nowadays his favourite clubs are Kraken, Swan and Dub Club. He'll never forget the time when Dave Barker sang over one of his selections.
