PGEEZ is a young half-mexican/half-brazilian Chi-Town native, w/ an ear for music. Many know PGEEZ (aka Dionysis) through his work with his collaborative partner Gandhi (aka A.V.C.) under the C2 (C Dub) name. In 2006, they completed their 3rd CD together titled, "COMPLIMENTARY", with the first single "LITE THA PLACE UP" making it onto the Tapemasters Inc. compilation mixtape hosted by Ghostface. "COMPLIMENTARY" can be found onsale through internet only.
PGEEZ has studied music for many years and has experience playing the guitar, drums, and trumpet. He is a gifted songwriter and writes for many different genres that extend beyond rap and R n B. When it comes to performance, he is a true star. Some people are meant to be in the light, and PGEEZ is one of them. He delivers every performance as if they are his last, and crowds respond very well to his character
PGEEZ's "ON THE CONTRARY" was released in the summer of 2006 with immediate success. The concept of the CD title, "ON THE CONTRARY" was PGEEZ' way of saying, "So, you think you got me pegged.....well, ON THE CONTRARY". This album covered different genres, from hip-hop to reggaeton to even dance music. The first single off of the album, "Tira La Ropa" hit over 10,000 plays on one website alone, as well as became part of DJ sets all across the nation, as well as in international markets, such as Brazil, Belgium, the U.K., and Mexico. "T.P. Anthem", his follow-up single and ode to his southside hometown, was never released to radio, however, managed to still be heard through the streets of Chicago more than 8 months after its release. The ringtone for "T.P. Anthem" was a popular hit for PGEEZ, too.
Since then, PGEEZ has been busy working on a follow-up that will meet the same critical praise, as well as expanding to new markets. The leadoff single, "Bottle of Patron" is officially out, and has built strong momentum. The follow-up CD, as yet untitled, is expected to be released in April 2008, so get ready.
