"If Radiohead opened up a bar, hired Beck as the senior bartender and had a two-for-one Hip-Hop Night where Portishead hooked up with Incubus, their lovechild would be named Host Echo".
That lovechild continues to grow on a diet of foods containing the high quality ingredients of a classical guitarist, a jazz vocalist, an electronic musician, a versatile bassist and a funky percussionist.
Host Echo aspires to musical maturity, putting minds, hearts and souls together, tastefully blending every unique expression into a vast yet singular sonic experience.
Involvement in the live music community is at the most basic foundation. Initially there were three Woodbox Theater Events, organized by the band to raise funds for the Niagara Arts & Cultural Center, a non-profit community coalition. Other live benefits have included a concert for awareness of domestic violence and fundraisers for hurricane Katrina survivors and for a Peoples, Inc. respite house.
The band has played venues throughout the Northeastern and Mid-Western United States and has enjoyed an excellent response from venue owners and concert goers alike.
Their debut CD, "Be Water" (2005) is available on Compact Disc and through Digital Downloads. Also available are new songs from the "Song Cycle EP" (2008). Get them all through our Snocap Player above.
A second crop of songs is being cultivated and a new harvest will come in Autumn. All the best musical efforts.
A calling from the road will have the band touring the Northeast, Middle Atlantic and Mid-West U.S. following the new album.
Always open to collaboration, please contact Host Echo via this page or e-mail Nick at [email protected] to share any musical, booking and/or promotional ideas. For Mid-West booking please contact Mike at [email protected].
