In their 4 years in the United States, Porsches on the Autobahn have redefined the genre of German techno-pop and built a massive fan base from their insanely high-energy concerts and internet music videos. Otto Jayayyemmri and Jurgen Bauer combine their lyrics and signature dance “trick moves” with the catchy beats of synthesizer virtuoso Volker Dassler, creating a jaw-droppingly energetic experience that could only be rivaled if the Beastie Boys, Kraftwerk and The Prodigy started a band. They have shared the stage with Broken Social Scene, The Dreseden Dolls, and Digital Underground, have just completed an amazing 35 city USA tour, and have been featured in Vice Magazine and The Onion. They recently released their DVD album, for which they collaborated with Grammy-nominated director, Paul Greenhouse (Pearl Jam, Bruce Springsteen), and launched the first line of products for their clothing label, Dance American. After their current USA tour, they are heading out on another tour to play many east coast shows and the South By Southwest festival in Austin, Texas along with the band Hooray For Earth.
