Born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio April Lane is a budding singer with an explosive voice and personality. While attending John F. Kennedy High School she starred as lead actress and singer in "Once On This Island" at the famed State Theatre in Cleveland’s Play House Theatre District, the second largest in the nation. Along with performing in various talent shows she also sung the Star Spangled Banner before home basketball games at her school.
After graduating in 2003, she enrolled at Baldwin Wallace College where she is currently majoring in theatre.
While excelling academically she countiues her quest in a career in music. She has performed at functions for Congresswoman Stephanie Tubbs Jones and the Cleveland Municipal School District. Lane has also been showcased as a feature performer for amateur boxing matches including The Golden Gloves and served as an opening act for several national recording artists such as Roc-A-Fella Records’ Freeway.
Lane’s song entitled "Why Me" was showcased on Z 107.9 FM as part of its "Home Jams" series in the winter of 2005.
Currently the 21-year-old is working on an EP entitled "A.L." at Scorpio Studio Productions in Cleveland. Living behind her motto, "With God nothing’s impossible," Lane is prepared to blaze her trail through the entertainment industry.
