New chapters to be written

About Me

We are the Rootworkers. This is the next chapter. We play reggae music with the utmost love and respect for our predecessors and pioneers. Influenced, first and foremost, by the foundation of reggae music laid in the late 60s and throughout the 70s we playe soul saturated reggae music. We draw on the influences of all those great records that make you dance. Our message is charged with songs of rebellion and revolution, as well as love and heartache. Our community (peers and audience alike) STILL are our blood. We play this music, because we love it. We eat, sleep, and breathe it.
We give thanks and praise to the highest of spirits and to our fans, our reggae massive...whom support us and fuel us.

-Peace Love Reggae
RESPECT!

"The Rootworkers have easily become the best thing to happen to reggae music in this area in some time." --DCSKA.COM

Influences: The island of Jamaica, it's music, it's people. How a music born of independence found it's way to so many places and people. Musically there are too many to list. The proof is in the punch, as they would say. I'm sure you can hear them.
Sounds Like:
The sweet sounds of Jamaican music played by three guys who, along with a lot of reggae records, also were raised on funk, soul, r&b, hip hop, etc.
