Hate is burning bright tonight...

About Me

Description:
A massive kollage of nightmarish sound-skapes sucked into rythmik disasters or perhaps the other way around. Your worst fears tunneling through your mind trying to burst through your skull and devour you alive. The minimal avant-garde endevours of Riki Rezinunts combines many methods of noise to conjure alienated ambient sound struktures. Through the use of many synthesis techniques, some home-made equipment, tape loops, spatial effects, analog & digital equipment, fx units, and natural sample sources Sound-Skrapes creates a world of futuristic desolation, savagery and lawlessness through the eyes of a tortured, dying, and ravaged digital race.
History:
Side projekt of Riki Rezinunts (Gross National Produkt, Komatose Void, Convolved Intellekt, and others). This is a thing that has been cultivating for awhile. It's a previous lifeform of Rik's from even before the birth of GNP. Between the years of 96 & 97 there was Analytic Cubism an experimental, avant-garge, industrial projekt. This projekt was put on the back-burner publicly and work on new material had ceased for a while. Back in 2000 though Rik started to look back on the idea of working on such music again and thus began what is now Sound-Skrapes. The tracks on this site date back from 2000 up until now and the first S.S. album and covers tracks from that time span.
In 2001 a Sound-Skrapes track, 'Fade To End' was born and later it was decided to release it on the upcoming GNP album, 'Enslave'. It appeared as the last track and fit very well with the albums track listing mixed with the songs title. This track was later revised by Akoustik Timbre Frekuency (Priapus23) and renamed to "ATFading In" which later appeared on the debut album.
In the beginning of 2004 the debut album of Sound-Skrapes, 'Kode' had been completed. This serves as somewhat of a conceptual album and tells the story of a farly advanced digital civilization fading out of existence because there is no place to hide from hate and fear no matter how advanced your civilization may be.
The next album, 'Dimentia Disease Process: A' is currently being finished and will hopefully be released some time in 2006.
