Due to these changes we will are no longer concentrating on promotions, and shifting our energies to the music publication side of things.
It all started with a band from Rome, Italy called Dope Stars Inc, which eventually led to the creation of a webzine and promotions company called Industrial Mafia Promotions (IMP). IMP had a somewhat successful 2 year run, but there were many obstacles cropping up, some beyond their control, for them to handle on a regular basis. In April 2007, IMP headquarters faced a massive fire, forcing the company to be out of commission until a new and permanent relocation was found. During this time, the owners reflected much on the events surrounding them. The fire was the final sign that the company could go no further in their affairs, and after conducting extensive meetings with staff members in deciding the future of IMP, it was agreed to cut the promotions division and focus completely on the webzine. Due to the internal changes involved, and in light of the fire & how the individuals involved overcame such a feat, they decided to change the name from Industrial Mafia Promotions to Phoenix Rising, naming ourselves after the great mythological bird that would rise up from the ashes every 500 years to live a new life.It is in this rebirth that we hope to expand to reaches unknown and continue to bring our loyal fans and readers the same quality of writing and production they have come to known from our previous incarnation.Phoenix Rising will continue to work closely and promote those bands that have stuck by our side since day one, such as Kubrick and Erotic Juliet. We have also entered into an agreement to work closely with the Italian agency MCM & G in promoting within the US and the UK the bands on their roster.Phoenix Rising is located in Beatrice, Nebraska and have staff members scattered across the globe.
