My Interests

I like drinking tea. Reading for long periods of time, getting lost in the story. Walking in the forest. Being in nature. Day trips to new places. Traveling. Animals. Watching movies. New friends. Riding my bike in the summer. Playing my guitar and singing songs I've written. Weekends. Sleeping late. Eating dessert. Practicing feng shui. Languages, especially French. Practicing yoga. Teaching yoga to others. Art and design. Cooking. Healthy good food.

I'd like to meet:

Real people who are original, individual, compassionate, and true to themselves. People who are seeking, loving, living, and growing.

Music:

Ambient, house, trance, techno, electronica. The Doors. Coldplay. U2. Brandi Carlile. K's Choice. Sarah McLachlan. Jewel before she went commercial. Lauren Hill. Moby. Marley. The Dixie Chicks. Dave Matthews Band. Blues and jazz. Relaxing and energizing yoga music.

Movies:

I LOVE watching movies, both at the theaters and at home. Lately all I watch is French movies I rent through Netflix. I like action flicks, romantic comedies, and dramas. Too many titles to list here!

Television:

When I watch it, shows that are funny and feed my knowledge. Grey's Anatomy. Private Practice. Nip/Tuck. CSI. My favorite channel is HGTV. My new thing is watching Little People Big World and Jon & Kate Plus 8 on Monday nights.

Books:

One of my students just gave me this really cute book: Among other books about France, I'm reading 'Savoir Flair! 211 Tips for enjoying France and the French' Before that I read 'A New Earth' by Ekhart Tolle.Nora Roberts is my favorite mainstream author, and I'm currently reading 'The Hollow,' the second book in her latest trilogy. This year I've read her books 'Birthright'and 'Homeport.' Other books I've read this year are 'First There is a Mountain' and 'Words in a French Life.' I got to meet the author, Kristin Espinasse, at one of her husband's wine tastings. She signed my book and invited me to come visit her french vineyard when I go to France this summer!

Heroes:

People who help others in a generous and selfless way. My mom and dad. My husband who helped fight the war in Iraq.
