About Me

This is a new Myspace page, I had to start from the beginning. I'll be adding video mixes within the week hopefully. I have been mixing for 26 years. Have a 30,000 plus record collection. I spin everythng from house to Disco to the oldies. But i'm mainly into House Muzik. I started out spinning the Chicago style house. All the stuff they played on the old radio station WBMX. Thats me. Now im into more of the Deep House side of things. Started out mixin' with tape decks. Don't play like ya'll never did that. Then got me 1 Technic table and a Gemini i think. Use to copy songs off the radio, then edit out the part where the radio DJ ran his mouth too much. Put some intro and outro's into it, then boom. Started buying my records from a shop in chicago called Imports inc. Chip E and Derrick Carter himself use to work there. Also went to State Street Records and Gramaphone and Hot Jams. Gramaphone and Hot jams are still standing to this day. People use to ask me to put songs on a cassette for them back in the day. A little while after that, i started makin' my own Mix tapes. Using those 90 minute BASF Chrome cassettes. Man, those were the days. I still have alot of those mixes layin' around somewhere. Started selling those for 7.00. Did my share of the little house parties back in the day. Im from the burbs, but Chicago had some of the best parties in the world back then. Man, every big name DJ right now use to rock all over the city. I started out taggin' along with them. Got into most of the parties for free. I'll never forget the night when a few DJ's didnt show up. And the head DJ let me on. I didn't have my records so i used his. It was after that party that people started to recognize my skills on the decks. Ill add more to this as i come up with it.
