Hello everybody,my name is Lorenzo, I’m 22 years old and I live in a small city called Cuneo near Turin in Italy. I study cinema at the University in Turin. In my spare time I like to listen to music and playing music too. I like all the styles of popular music but especially my favourites are house, techno and hip hop. Other my passions beyond music and Djing are travelling, cooking, movies in general. In fact in my photos there are some images from Spain, that I went in last year.
I start to listen to music when I was fourteen and at first I appreciate house music because this kind of music has an amazing rhythm and sounds very hot. I start to listen to other styles when I was a dj at the radio. In this period I was having a program in a radio of my city and I put on songs of all types of popular music and so in my radio broadcast our listener could listen songs from rock to jazz or rap without problems, but it was always music of good quality, not commercial or done without real interest. For example in a playlist based on 8 songs and 40 minutes of program we 've put on in the same broadcast names like Ali Farke Tourè, Chateau Flight, Lou Reed, John Coltrane, Peter Tosh, Dj Spinna, Francois Kevorkian and Lucinda Williams.
About three years ago I’ve started to create music with electronic instruments like synths or computer and finally this year I published my first cd produced by myself. This cd, called Blended, contains 9 songs and about the music I could say that it’s techno and house music not excessively complicated but at the same time the “Blended†sound is not for the masses. It's istrumental music but in 2 songs there are some vocals. There're also 4 long version mixed. Blended album is arrived at 500 copies and for the first time is good for me. I've produced all the things contained in Blended, even the label and only the print and the copies of the album were done by other people. It was registered on an old laptop, mixed by myself, cleaned by the noise of the synth. After I've protected the songs with the copyright laws. Sincerely I don't know why I've written Blended, when I was creating it I've wanted a song that give me some emotions. Funturismo was inspired by the masterpiece of Fritz Lang, Metropolis, in particular the scene of the palaces and the futuristic constructions that was really innovative at that time. Rollcage was written when I was thinking at a machine that grind man until to create a cage. Now I'm working for a second album. About it you can listen two songs. All my songs you can listen to on myspace are short version of the songs, because it's more easier to load up the page. War Blood and Violence was written when I was thinking at the words that mr Bush said in 2003: We've won the war. The reality is a little bit different and in 2008 Iraq is still suffering. Instead Ladies in da house was written when I was hearing that girls..ladies prefer house music. I know that on the dancefloor the woman is the queen but for me music has no rules so I don't like to do tracks..songs for a people but for all.
As dj I play music when I found an engagement, often in bars or private club. My Dj’s sound is made above all of techno, house, elektro and hip hop music, at the same time I like to put on some jazzy and soul songs. Generally the music I play comes from the underground but also I want to be opened when I play music. Only 1 thing before to close this short presentation. The song you hear on my player are mp3s at 128kbit rate, so I'm sorry if the quality of these mp3s is not the best but I've chosen to put on the player songs with 128kbit rate because probably the page load the songs more easier.
