My name is Wendy. As a child, I remember hearing the saying "Stick and stones can break your bones but words can never hurt you". I didn't believe it then and I still don't.
Words can be hurtful; but, they can also be loving, encouraging, kind and inspiring. They are how we express our thoughts and emotions, anger or joy, sorrow and pain, love, understanding, empathy, pride, what we think and how we feel.
