St.Pauli Folk Festival

The St. Pauli Folk Festival was born in 2007. Aim of the Festival is to present singer/songwriters and bands of the underground scene in Hamburg and folkmusicians who have some kind of connection to St. Pauli, the famous redlight- and nightclub-district at the harbour of Hamburg. The first St. Pauli Folk Festival took place on the 1st of September 2007 in the Haus III&70 and the Astra-Stube. After a great success the musicians planned to cooperate much more in the future. In April 2008 followed two evenings of "St.Pauli Folk in Exile" in the Pony Bar / University of Hamburg. The second Festival is already in preparation. It will probably take place in October or November 2008.
