My Rifle, My Pony and Me

The saddest folk band of the world

About Me

My Rifle, My Pony and Me have been founded by Thomas Piesbergen (Zettelhead, Passierzettel, Ex-Clockwork Wizards), Jürgen Ufer (Eaten by Sheiks, Kleine Schwester) and Frank Amling in the summer of 2006 in Hamburg / St. Pauli. The project is completely dedicated to the song, not to instrumental virtuosity. The songs are meant to make little girls dream and old men cry. The repertoire consists of classic folk- and country ballads, re-folked songs and own compositions dealing with the tragic and the trite sides of life, love and death. They are made to make you long for problems to have a reason to feel broken and sad.
