Lion Man was born in Brussels in the early 80's from African parents. He started developping his lyrical skills at a early age because of his father, that used to be a DJ alongside planty other jobs he did to feed his family. "Actually my father put me into this..He wrote my first rap when I was 6 years old but before that we had been singing on tons of tapes!!" Lion says. The reason why Lion is a powerfull artist in Belgium is the fact that he speaks both Dutch and French very fluently (which is unusual for a young black man that was born and raised in Brussels) while these two communities are separated because of social problems they've been having in the past... Lion Man's music is not about teaching people something..it's about spreading a message no matter what it is! Drugs, crimes,racism and having a lot of fun are the things he flows about the most...and he does it without any reticence! In any language from French to Dutch including English!! His musical influences are reggae, hip hop, african music and music from the Caribbean, etc...All this cultural diversity is going to make people enjoy his music for a long time to come!!!
