Charlot Webster

Armed with whatever instruments she can get her hands on, from piano to ukelele, harmonium to the spoons, Charlot Webster battles soul with anti-folk. Her unique songs, style, voice and mood-swings journey from 1940s Hollywood glamour, to a back alley in Slough.
charlot tells THE PAST:
“If I had patience, I would have learnt one instrument, and I would have stuck to it and probably made an album years ago… Or, I don’t know, maybe I would have gone to school more and learnt something useful. But I write a song, and then try and find a new instrument to write the next song on. I get too excited to stick to one.”
charlot tells THE PRESENT:
‘Tim and I have been recording for about a year, and now we’ve nearly finished, I’m very excited about having an album. There’s loads of different stuff on there, different styles, moods etc. I don’t know if that’s a good thing, but that’s what happens when you spread making one record over a year. Lots happens in between, & I’m young, I like lots of music and I go through lots of moods, haha... It just reflects that.”
