Duke Raoul

Life gets in the way of living.

About Me

At the centre of Duke Raoul is Alex Painter. Alongside a varied cast of talented comrades he pours his skinny little heart and soul into the songs he writes. Live the music takes many forms, from solo shows with programmed extras to full band extravaganzas.
Duke Raoul have played alongside acts like The Futureheads, Clor, and The Subways. As well as appearing on underground compilations and podcasts they appeared on Smalltown America ’s highly acclaimed Public Service Broadcast series and will soon be featured again on Public Service Broadcast 9 .
They’ve played been played on Radio One, knocked the Eavis family’s muddy socks off in the finals of the Glastonbury Unsigned competition, and enjoyed rave reviews from DrownedinSound .
Right now they are just putting the finshing touches on their debut EP recorded as part of a production deal with Eden Studios . We’ll be releasing it pretty soon. Exciting? Yup.
