With over 20 years experience between them EQ and Dynamic have joined forces to go live with Lowdown. A predominantly jump up drum n bass night that is currently located in Reading around 30 miles west of London, England. Their vision is to bring music to the masses and promote nights based on the clubber experiece rather than the promoters making money. This is why they are actively listening to any DJs who give them demos as there seems to be a growing problem with promoters giving sets to their freinds rather than to the DJs who deserve it. They have seen and experienced where talented DJs are constantly being turned down due to "unhealthy" promotions management. Their vision is to change this.
Lowdown itself may only be young, but with the years of experience of the highly talented DJs and MCs they have behind them, along with their newly discovered DJs, there will be not much stopping them taking Lowdown to the highest level. Lowdown is all about what you can do, not who you are... get involved.

Lowdown currently resides at its weekly residency at the Purple Turtle, Reading, but there are plans already afoot to take Lowdown to other towns and cities, and to bigger venues where you will be likely to see the big names coming out to play. Lowdown is based solely on the love for for the music it promotes and will never see a good DJ go to waste. This is why it promotes an open door policy to ALL DJs who think they've got what it takes, by taking time out to listen to new stuff and get the right people on the ones and twos. If you are a DJ and want to get involved get down to the night and simply hand your demo in over the decks, Lowdown will ONLY take CDs in this way. Postal CDs, unless exceptional circumstances, will not be accepted.
